After growing up in Philly and moving away, I know it is hard to find a real cheesesteak outside of the Philly area. After years of research, as well as trial and error, I have perfected a real Philly cheesesteak that is quick and easy to make at home!!! This authentic Philly cheeesteak will surprise you.

  • 1/2 an Onion
  • One 1/4 pound of Boneless Ribeye
  • Hoagie Rolls (4)
  • Olive Oil
  • Salt
  • White American Cheese
  • Provolone Cheese and Toppins

Pre freeze 1 1/4 pound of boneless ribeye and take out of the freezer so it will not be as hard. Cut 1/2 an onion in small pieces and set aside. Shred the mostly frozen ribeye into thin slices. Open the hoagies sideways in the middle with a knife.

Add olive oil to a hot skillet and maintain medium hotness. Add the meat and onions to the pan, salt to taste and stir and chop as it cooks. When the red is gone from the meat, change the heat from medium to low.

Place slices of white american cheese folded in half on top of the ring of meat around the skillet. Then put the opened bread hoagies on top of the cheese, that is on top of the meat. wrangle off the pan.
